Although there is still a scarcity of anime films in theatres here, things are improving slowly, starting with Ghost In The Shell. Based on the best-selling manga, the film recently celebrated 25 years, with the release of a new poster.

The visuals are stunning in the movie, and there is a lot of cybergame know-hows thrown around for fans of all things digital and fancy-punk. The anime even inspired The Matrix trilogy, and you find out why as you take a thrilling journey with The Puppet Master.

Philosophical wonderings such as whether or not the protagonist is human or just a machine, plays out as there are plenty of action-packed gun fights, and exciting car chases. It’s back on our screens on September 27, and after that you will have the brilliant sequel to look forward to, in about a week’s time.
