For those of you The Lord of the Rings superfans that have been eagerly waiting for the final installment in the series, will be pleased to know that its finally due this Christmas. Going the offbeat way, and launching the prelude to the story following the release of the epic film, The Hobbit, The Battle of the Five Armies, this film is set to be absolutely legendary. This is the third and last of the trilogy (off the prelude alone) but is set to be the most pivotal episode of the entire story. The storyline goes such that the Dwarves are being heralded by Thorin Oakenshield, who are attempting to piece together the enormous wealth left behind in Erebor.
This place is a mountainous landscape and it sets the stage for the glorious battles ahead. When they recaptured the mountain, the firey dragon, Smaug, was released. Smaug comes to know that the humans aided the dwarves, and as a result, attacks the ones he meets near the terrain, at Lake-town. Bilbo, his friends, are also facing danger from an age-old enemy in Middle-Earth.
Sauron has returned and he has his Orc do the dirty job of terminating the heroes, as the crew engage in fights set to save themselves in the midst of the five seperate great armies in war. The film stars Orlando Bloom, Aidan Turner, James Nesbitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cate Blanchett and Ian McKellen. The film comes to theatres nationwide on December 12.
