France = Tarte Flambee

The French like to eat fatty food. They adore it, which is why this particular pizza, native to the Alsace region, has both cheese and bacon toppings. Fromage blanc, creeme fraiche, lardons and onions are tossed onto the top of the pizzza, before being placed carefully in a wood-fire oven. For lovers of sweeter cusines, the pizza is baken with apples, cinnamon and sweet-tasting alcohol.
