Sicily, Italy = Sicilian Pizza

The pie is topped with cheese, olive oil, and breadcrumbs, right before it is tossed into the oven. Italians took it to America and made it chunky and layered with sauce and cheese, on-top of a thick crust, and make it rival that of Chicago’s –  how wonderful! It’s just in the nature of the Sicilians to be this adventurously-curious over local/historic customs and what can be done to reinvent it in a contemporary age!
