A post-modernist design take on furniture

Masquespacio is an Italian design studio that has created their very own collection for Missana, a furniture and upholstery label in Spain. Inspired by the art movement: Memphis, that made its début in 1981, the pieces are post-modernist in style, and revolutionary in their own rare way. The collection is named “Toadstool” and it is both bold and vibrant. Minute, shapely and round, the figures are dressed up in fabrics for a sofa, table and numerous poufs, emitting a wonderful post-modernist ambiance. They almost look like a modern rendition of life during the Stonehenge, with their atypical Memphis shades of forest green, salmon pink and deep navy and materials as diverse as marble, wood and gold plated metals.
