Kartell, an Italian brand, famous for priceless pieces of work in fantastic plastics for furniture recently opened their first store in London. The flagship shop is bringing to the British capital’s multidimensional retail offerings a unique understanding of design at Brompton Road, in the Design District. Doubling up as a tiny department store, the shop is also going to stock it’s other lines, from Habitat to everything they have in the ranges for tables, home fragrances and fashion.
The idea in their London store is to not only incorporate a 360 degree spin of Kartell, but to also do a minimalist edition of mix and match. London was chosen specifically because as a city it has such a vast reach, from the Gulf to Asia, and Kartell wants to tap into this intelligent network to do more than just plain old furniture; Kartell wants to do a feature presentation on design, with the usual plastics thrown into an entire colour spectrum.
